Patricia Cunliffe is the Visual Director for Vast Image Media. She is also an abstract painter and curator.
In 2004 she made a bilingual documentary about present-day Latino artists in Los Angeles, A Language of Passion, among other curatorial endeavors. Plans for future shows include a retrospective of Rudy Cole's various series works throughout his prolific career and a show that focuses on the duality of Atanas Karpeles' work, Gemini.
Exhibits of her own artwork include Color, Paper, Vision & Canvas and Different Art Same Heart.
She wrote a weekly art column, City Palette, for the now defunct LABeat and is a past publicity chairman for the Pasadena Society of Artists. She also produces promotional videos for artists.
Before becoming a painter, Patricia was a couturier designer and costumer.
This is an homage to the multitude of Black lives that have been lost as a result of systemic racism. This list does not even begin to include every name...
This piece was made specifically to donate to an entity that will best benefit the struggle for
Racial Equality. Currently, I am working with a most appropriate individual to determine which entity that will be. The piece is a 48" X 48" graffiti style acrylic on canvas.
There will be prints and print items available for purchase. 50% of all print item sales will be donated to the Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter.

I had long entertained the idea of making a pretty film, but was taught that you just don't do that. One nite, I was videotaping an opening at the 0-1 Gallery on Melrose & was offered an assignment to interview Kenneth Anger for Amass Magazine. I immediately went about researching the legendary filmmaker (& author of Hollywood Babylon)...and long story short, I emerged from that very worthwhile experience knowing otherwise
Have you ever thought about what happens to the homeless when they die? What happens with body parts after they have been amputated? What happens to the bodies that have been donated to science after their usefulness has been had? What about the baby, whose mother is so distraught after having given birth to a still born child that checks the little box requesting a city burial? They all end up in Potters Field.
